I know it's been a while since we updated. We haven't really been doing anything. James is working hard (and playing hard as well). I have been getting more shifts with the zoo and am getting tired :). My schedule more out of whack than ever with a job that works me mostly evenings and one that is during the day. It's good, though I have to keep reminding myself of that. We are moving to Ogden at the end of May. This will allow us to get out of debt, hopefully, and eventually get our own house. We are really blessed to have such great parents, both sets, who are so supportive and loving. Thanks.
I will try to get photos to put up next time. James I were trying to do a photo a week project. I think I've averaged that much at least but not by taking the pictures that often. I will have to do better.
I want to get in shape to do the big hike for the family reunion this year. I need discipline. Goal: get James to join me. He he he.

We went to Silver Lake, up Big Cottonwood Canyon, with LoriAnn and Jason on September 12. LoriAnn and Jason brought two of his nieces (sorry I don't remember their names :)). We got there before them (they went to the wrong canyon :P) and we walked around the lake before they arrived, seen in the first group of pics.Silver Lake

DUCK!

What the. . . duck

This is one of my favorites :)

Then LoriAnn and Jason, with his nieces, got there. They were hungry, so we sat at a picnic table and chatted and had a snack while they ate lunch. Then we headed went for another turn around the lake, this time we went the opposite way around, just to mix things up :).

How cute

Resting

That's me, LoriAnn, and the nieces. We had a great time and it was a beautiful day. James' face was red from it and I got to wear my favorite shirt, hopefully not the last time this fall :). We went back to a picnic table and James and I ate our lunches, then we headed home.

I'm so glad LoriAnn and Jason met us to do this. We missed Shaun, who had to work,  Lynn and his family, who were sick, and Ashley and the kids, who were playing soccer. This won't be the last time we go up there though. As you can see, the view makes it a great place to visit.

Rafting the Green

For the last few years I have taken friends to raft down Green River. We usually stay at my parents house in Vernal, but this year we went camping at Iron Springs. This was the first time James and I have been camping together and the first time in years that either of us have gone camping at all. The weather was great, but it was cold at night. It began to rain early Sunday morning and when the sun came up (behind the clouds), everyone went home. Fun weekend.

Fun times. James got a pretty good sun burn. I got a bit pink, but his was more painful.

Pictures Galore

So now that my fingers grew back after that terrible accident I can finally post on the blog again........

I am going to just put up some pictures from our adventures the last couple of months.

We went to Lake Tahoe for Shana's sisters wedding.  What a beautiful place to have a wedding.

Lake Tahoe

View from a beach at the south end of Lake Tahoe

Shana at Lake Tahoe

Same view but much better now(Shana is really not going to like that line)

James and Shana at the Wedding - Lake Tahoe

I think this was after the Wedding and we were just kinda bored

Shana at the Wedding - Lake Tahoe

I think this is my favorite picture we took there. ROCK OUT!

Yummy Ribs - Lake Tahoe

We ate some yummy ribs at the reception dinner.  I like that Shana has a big glob of something on her teeth, she pretty much devoured those ribs.

Ok I think it is time for a little break from pictures for a minute.  These next ones are of a bbq we had up Big Cottonwood Canyon.  There is a small mine shaft that is pretty fun to walk down, we had a huge line of people folowing the 3 lights we had with us, it was loads of fun.

Great place to have a meal

The fire pit

We went up there with a big group of friends from our old singles ward

James & Shana in the Cave

Its dark in there so we had to stay close

Lee in the mine

I think they got surprise by the bright flash

The group in the mine

I think these guys were all brining up the rear of our group

James in the Cave

I am just a weirdo

Here is the bonus picture for the day.  We tried a new recipe for baked mac & cheese and it was great!

The Joy of Legos

The only thing I really collect are Star Wars Lego sets, and I love it.  My latest acquisition is an 18 inch tall set of General Grievous from the Star Wars prequel movies.  Following are some pictures of the building process and the finished product.  One of these days I will have to put up some pictures of my entire collection.  Enjoy!
