The Ring

Well it is official everyone, I will be getting married on October 3rd in Vernal Utah. Last week I proposed to Shana in the Geekiest way I could and as you may have figured out she said yes. I will try to explain how I proposed in a way that will make sense because it is a little confusing. In the weeks leading up to the proposal I though of all the ways people I knew had gotten engaged. I also talked to a lot of people including friends of Shana's to find out what she might like. I wanted to do something unique that fitted us and that I could somehow surprise her with. I decided to make a video of myself saying that I had something to ask her. The video then went to some music and a slide show with pictures of her and I. At this point I pulled out he ring got on my knee and asked the big question. This worked well for us because be are always watching movies and different tv shows. I edited in my clip into an episode of a show we where watching and waited for the clip of me to start. I think it all went really well and Shana was definitely surprised because I was not suppose to even have the ring until the next day.

So the first thing I learned when I picked up the ring for Shana is that rings are really hard to take a good picture of but here are a couple I think turned out ok.

Continuing the summer fun Shana and I went to a Bees game yesterday with Stephen and Rosie. It was great mostly because Rosie works there so it was cheap. It was my first time at a Bees game and I had loads of fun. I think the pictures tell the fun better than I could.

She tried to get me to eat one but that was just not happening

I got a picture with the ball in it, I was so proud of myself

They had a race with the pizza, hotdog, and ice cream guys I think the ice cream guy won.

This weekend was the big 90th birthday bash for my grandpa. It has been a pretty big year in birthdays for my family. Along with the big 90 for my grandpa, my dad turn 60 and my brother Bert turned 30. To celebrate 90 years of making fantastic cakes and singing that Home on the Range song we all gathered in Ogden for a grand ol party. We were able to get all nine of my grandpas kids there for the first time in long time and we took the opportunity to take a bunch of pictures with everyone. I am going to put several of the pictures I got with my camera in this post and I will put up a link to the pros pictures when we get them back.
