So Many Stars

This weekend was the big trip to the green river up by Vernal. Due to my complete lack of brains I don't have any pictures of us on the river. I took my camera with me to Vernal and even had a waterproof case for it but when we left for the river I forgot it in my car which stayed back at Shana's parents where we were staying. I did put up some of the other pictures I got while we were up there.
We went up Friday night and crashed outside on the ground by Shana's parents house which was a bit cold but amazing to just be able to look up at the stars and see so many of them. We got up Saturday, and after me annoying everyone with my 5:30am singing, headed off to the river about 10. It was a lot of fun, we did about a 3 hour float down the river and just about everyone got thrown in at one point or another. Saturday night we drove over to the Temple in Vernal then went to watch Wall-E, great movie by the way, then crashed outside again this time with some extra blankets.
A few sunburns later and a little tired we had a great weekend.

It's Summer!!!

The warm weather is finally here. I got my first sunburn of the year in my pool on Saturday and it was wonderful. I think this is going to be a big summer, I think Shana is going to drag me a lot of places I would normally pass up for sitting at my computer.......I guess that is a good thing.
We went to a ward BBQ the other day and as always I tried to get pictures of Shana while she tried to dodge the camera, good times. Here are a few we got:
I think I was trying to mind control her into letting me take a picture

Blast she ducked to the left but I did get Amber

Man I am just way toooooooo sexy!!!!

Ha Ha......Sweet

Bionic James.......maybe one day

Dean Kamen I think must be some soft of super genius alien or something. The stuff that he comes up with just can't be from us mere mortals. For those of you that don't know.... probably all of you...Dean Kamen is the inventor of the Segway. While the Segway is not exactly changing the way people get around, they way he thought it would, it is still pretty revolutionary is its technology. He has also help work on a wheelchair system called the iBot which can, among other things, "walk" up stairs.

The other day I was searching around on the internets and found this. Kamen refers to it as the Luke arm in reference to star wars........awesome.
I was just blown away with what these robotic arms can do. Now with the advancement of a technology that allows brain implants to control robotic equipment it is only a matter of time till I lop of my own arms just so I can be Bionic James! No but really this is such incredible technology. The guy in the video they showed is able to feed himself for the first time in 26 years with this arm.
